1/12/12

My collaborative curatorial project, MicroClimate Collective, will be having an exhibition at Root Division in November 2012.  The show, Reading Room, is one of two shows happening this year that are a contrapuntal conversation about time.  We are still waiting on confirmation for the location and date of the other exhibition.

Both shows are funded by a Round V Alternative Exposure Grant from Southern Exposure gallery.  Support for the Alternative Exposure Grant is provided by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.  Additional support is provided by Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund.

12/18/11

I will be teaching an upper level undergraduate/graduate seminar at CSU Fullerton Spring 2012.  I am very excited to working with my friend and colleague, Linda Kroff, and to have the opportunity to work with a different community and level of students.

In Spring 2012 I will also be co-teaching an upper level interdisciplinary studio seminar class at California College of the Arts with my friend and colleague, Ranu Mukherjee.  Our class, FYI, examines the current condition of digital overload in terms of information, privacy, sampling and avatars.

11/12/11

I started work on my first tattoo. It is an homage to my complicated identity as a mother.  We will be photographing and filming while I am being tattooed for possible use in my Remnant: marking motherhood installation.

11/01/11

I will be doing a presentation with my co-curator for MicroClimate Collective, Glenna Cole Allee,

at the SPE West Regional Conference.

The conference is November 18th-19th at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA
